Continuing find by Chris Dunford today, happily diving and eating fish off the docks around (38.5659130, -121.5558729), and viewed from the parking lot at (38.5663078, -121.5539725). Relatively large grebe with heavyset, yellowish bill, pale around the ear and mostly dull brown-gray otherwise. Photos tba.
