Update from 12/11: Updating this ID as I was able to get tail shots this morning confirming my initial suspicion of WIWA. Original 12/10 report below: In the field I thought this was a Wilson's - it struck me as very lemon yellow with a black eye and fleshy colored legs that stood out immediately. Prairie would typically have black legs so I figured it was either WIWA or YEWA. Played WIWA call, did not get a vocal response back. Bird was very active my whole observation. Hung around the northernmost shaded path across from the retention pond fence and was loosely associating with AMRE and BAWW. It would be uncommon to have a WIWA here in winter (although we did have a WIWA at this location in Nov. 2022) so I am leaning towards the more common wintering Yellow instead. I could unfortunately only muster 1 poor photo and nothing showing the full undertail. Please flag my report if needed.
