Black-hooded Oriole immature showed up in a dead tree at 5.37 p.m. at the golden hour, providing a pleasant distraction during the vigil for the rare migrant Black-capped Kingfisher. Ten minutes later, the target species betrayed its presence during active foraging attempt at a shrub in front of me, on the opposite side of the patch we were scanning intensely.
