continuing bird found by Aerin Tedesco. In first pond, viewed from bluff. Parking here (40.17968° N, 88.43296° W). Viewed from here (40.17872° N, 88.43277° W) and note that the bird is sometimes very difficult to see when it is in the sun glare and can hang out there for 10-15 minutes before coming back into view. Large grebe with large bill, white cheek patch, reddish color on neck sometimes visible in good light. Yellowish bill color was not noted due to lighting, even when bird turned and name-sake red color on neck was visible. Photos TBA.
