Continuing Black-headed Grosbeak (likely female/immature) in residential yard, The Woodlands, TX. Seen with homeowner’s permission; husband joined me and also observed the bird. Observed ~2 hrs. Bird stayed mostly in cover/mid-canopy and was shy, never coming to feeders while I was present. Noted large pale conical bill, warm buffy-cinnamon underparts, subtle pale supercilium, and dark wings with pale wingbars/contrasting marks. Got several pics & will add later.
