Heard calling in the distance giving the raucous, repeated call while I was watching the BAWW. It was difficult to tell where the call originated from, but believe it was along the river &/or the residential area south of the river. Tried to record, but only caught a call or two before it went quiet. Can barely hear it on the audio, with a song sparrow call note in between. Later (separate checklist) I did hike a couple miles around Boise Cascade Lake, along the river & around Veteran’s Park hoping to relocate it, but never heard it vocalize again.
