FEATURES: Overall fairly yellow. Dark olive or greyish on top, yellow on underparts; yellow undertail (important to note because a Nashville warbler has a white vent); faint, darkish eyeline; partial eye line; partial eye ring (Nashville has a complete eye ring); faint light patch at the bend of the wing; faint grey streaking at the lateral side of breast; BEHAVIOR: foraging at mid-canopy of a leafed-out cottonwood; the last 5 images show it exploring a dried leaf. My research notes: Mourning WA: (looks very similar to me) Connecticut WA: forages mainly on the ground, complete eye ring. Nashville WA: has a complete eye ring Kentucky WA: entirely yellow below MacGillivray WA: never yellow on throat GOOD REFERENCES: Merlin; Peterson's book on Warblers (pages 154+)
