Flew out of low undergrowth into a nearby tree. Hopeed around the tree. Then I saw another come up into a second nearby tree. The first flew to a tree about 10m away. They called to each other - low whoop whoop whoop sound. Observed the close one for a few more minutes, then headed on my way. The first's body is about the size of a crow or raven but it's not quite so heavy set. It has a very long tail. The head and chest are very dark brown/black. The wings when closed are a mid-browm with lighter tan markings. In flight the wings are a reddish brown. The beak is black and slightly hooked. The legs and claws are black. It makes a distinctive low, loud warbling sound. They were in a pair. Second was similar but overall slightly lighter in colour.
