Quite unexpected given the very low number of reports this south so far this winter, even crazier that it’s my second this season and I haven’t even had a Siskin yet! While pishing, got on a compact small finch with a plain breast but streaky sides. Despite being very backlit I could somewhat make out the small pointy bill with black on the chin and surrounding the bill. Eventually dropped out of sight where many other goldfinch and house finch were moving around.
