This bird is reported to have been banded as a chick on July 8, 2023, at New River, Coos County, Oregon, approximately 900 miles NNW of this location; I previously observed and photographed this bird approximately 3 miles south of this location at Crystal Cove State Park, Newport Beach, California, on several occasions in the Fall of 2023 and on several occasions in the Fall and Winter of 2024-25; I most recently observed and photographed this bird at this location on September 27, 2025, and October 25, 2025, and I observed it at Crystal Cove on October 19, 2025; this bird is reported to have been observed during the summers of 2024 and 2025 in Coos County, Oregon.
