Found earlier in the day by Bill Pyle and Blythe Brown. Roosting on rocks at high tide with Black Oystercatchers and other shorebirds. A large, dark brown and buff checkered shorebird with a long, strongly decurved bill. Hues of uppertail and rump show no contrast with the rest of the upperparts.
