Continuing, vocal. Made a cursory pass of the initial charging station area and kept moving to just get a lay of the land. Almost immediately heard distinct chip call from area next to pond (32.77611° N, 117.24030° W). Somewhat skulky when in the bushes, but lots of good time open on the ground. Yellow belly, throat; olive back; black mask with black cap split by yellow specs. Ph. definitely, recording maybe.
