Continuing in reeds on the north side of Ave C about 100 m east of the gazebo. First detected by distinctive sharp calls a bit like a high-pitched and emphatic Black Phoebe. Eventually seen with scope views as it perched in reeds right along Ave C (and then it flew south across the road to the reeds on the north edge of Big Piute). Rusty wings, grayish underparts with some slight blurred streaking and a hint of a central breast spot; broad rusty brown lateral crown stripes, grayish broad supercilium, white throat. One poor photo attached which does not do justice to the species' characters.
