A return to the Long-eared Owl family I found the previous night. I sat quietly away from the trees, with my back to the flats and after around 10 minutes after sunset the chicks started calling, followed by a few calls from the adult. A chick came onto a branch to pose and one of the adults flew out and perched in the open briefly, before heading out of the town to hunt. These images were all after sunset, so I had to put the shutter speed on my camera very low and also minimise any disturbance, which resulted in an incredible encounter!
