I did some research, after photographing this smallish/"Cackling-ish" goose and found this David Sibley article (https://www.sibleyguides.com/2014/12/cackling-ish-geese/). There is no "Goose Sp." to place this in if it does at all fall in line with some of the "cackling-ish" geese that is described in the article. So I'm just making a record here. There are actually two of them that are similar in size (about 85% of the other geese) in the one photo that features six geese. I primarily focused on the one, however, as it seemed to have a smaller head/skull than the rest. It doesn't have the flat top nor short bill like a Cackling and its overall size is a bit larger. It does seem to show a truncated mid section and a shortish neck that it kept tuck in that position the whole time. I additionally ran some of my photos through Merlin, this particular one comes up with Cackling Goose as the ID.
