I needed some local advice and input on whether this is a cuckoo or a hawk-cuckoo; thank you, Wendy Chin for your input. I did not have my camera but took photos with my cellphone, as I was able to get within 4m of the bird, as it was perched on a fence. I saw but did not get a photo of the back of the bird. Tail was long and accipiter-like, with broad stripes on the back of the tail. Back and wings were brownish. White abdomen & lower chest showed thick & dark horizontal barring, upper chest & throat appeared somewhat gray or slightly tawny. The bird did not vocalize. A few cellphone photos are attached. Bird was perched at approximately 6.281289, 99.737794.
