Between private path along back of houses on Lakeview Dr and back side of Shasta Lake RV Resort, working on wells in pine approximately here: 40.87513, -122.39087. A sapsucker appearing to be still in mostly dusky juvenal plumage showing a bit of rec on crown and throat which would seem to favor this species over Red-naped that according to various sources typically completes preformative molt on or near breeding grounds . Was able to obtain a few photos. Will follow up this observation and update this list appropriately , may ultimately have to change to Yellow-bellied/Red-naped
