The Canada warbler that was originally found by Tammy Kailola back on November 12 and was respotted this morning by Jason Ketchum next to the cafe on Goldenwest at 33.70463° N, 118.00575° W (south of cafeteria by green fence). We observed it move about the large tree for maybe 10 minutes before it was lost from sight. We walked over to see the Eurasian wigeon and then checked the large pepper tree on the water’s edge where David Ornellas then respotted the Canada warbler. At this second sighting there were many more birders who proceeded to follow it all over the Jack green area going from tree to tree. This bird had a dark bluish gray back, bright yellow below w contrasting white undertail coverts. It had a complete eye ring that was primarily white but there was a yellow section from the top if the eye to bill height. Yellow Supraloral stripe also visible. A somewhat faint grayish colored necklace was visible on the chest. This bird had a longer gray tail that it periodically seemed to flip about as it foraged. Its legs and feet were pink.
