Juvenile at suet feeder! Looked up as I was watching my Broncos struggle to run the ball against the Chiefs, and I immediately knew I had a swag/county bird at the feeders. Seeing that most records in MRN are from November, I had been keeping my eyes out as of late. The bird stayed just long enough for me to quickly sneak over and grab my camera. I took a few photos (through double-paned glass) and then an Oak Titmouse swopped in and aggressively chased the Munia off, and I didn’t see it again. *cough* - county - *cough* bird. Overall small and drab bird; plain brown all over, save a few black and white "scales" on the breast/belly/vent; large, all black, seed-eater bill.
