Distant view, but field marks looked pretty good to me. Well defined black spur on the white side was initially what got me on the bird. Short stubby bill compared to nearby Commons. Good amount of white on the more tear drop shaped white spot on the face. I will look at the terrible photos I attempted but I'm not going to hold my breath that any will be diagnostic.
