Scarce in the surrounding region and especially so in New York County, as usual associating with a migrant flock of Canada Geese. Flying southwestwards over the northeast ballfields towards the very end of the observation period, our 70th species of the day. Second from the front in a small skein, markedly smaller than its fellows, with a shorter neck, stubbier bill, and pointier wings. Also appeared noticeably frostier and paler in overall coloration
