観察結果の詳細

First heard as it flew over me while calling as I was checking a wildlife camera, so I was not prepared to get a recording of its "tri-ri-rip" flight calls. Fortunately, it kept flying in a straight line and landed a few hundred yards away, where it eventually flushed as I walked towards it. The included iPhone recording is from that second encounter. Habitat was short- to medium-length annual grassland.
