W - migration. Eagle with smaller head and bill than BAEA, tawny nape and hindneck, wings pinched in at body, wings held in dihedral while soaring, and bowed wings and modified dihedral while gliding. 1st year bird - extensive white type white patch on inner primaries and basal area of most secondaries, extensive white type tail with inner white band extending behind long undertail coverts; black band on distal third of tail.
