Continuing, day number three. Actively flycatching and caching dates. It spent all day (until we departed) in the date palms on the north and east side of the solar array here: 36.4588019, -116.8693607 Today we were able to get better photos and studied the bird with the scope. We noticed a small area of pinkish red just below the bill (see photos). There were also two dots of red, perhaps two red feathers, behind the right eye.
