Great find by ER/JC yesterday. Faithful to the area around the bridge (38.0051613, -121.6918002) on various perches. Was not present until around 7:10. I had played a few TRKI calls without seeing the bird yet but eventually it popped out far in the distance and gradually came closer unprompted. Did not vocalize for the 1.5 hours that I watched it, but Tropical seems safe considering odds + behavior in response to calls, although this location is somewhat far inland. Large kingbird with extensive yellow belly up to head, large billed appearance, no white outer tail feathers.
