Observed on the north side of Ballona Creek only 100 m or so upstream from Pacific Bridge. We had walked this stretch from the UCLA boat launch to the jetty earlier and it was not present. We first observed it as it flew downstream low over the creek with a dozen or so Black-bellied Plovers. It landed here, just below the foot and bicycle path for great views: 33.9642244, -118.4522111. Photos. Continuing bird, reportedly returning for its eighth winter.
