Doing somersaults from pole at Milepost 3.0. Mottled..looks like it is still coming out of juvenile plumage. Digiscope posted. This species completes much of it's preformative molt out of juvenile plumage while still on the breeding grounds, but in some individuals, some juvenile feathers are still retained even after their arrival on the wintering grounds. This one seemed to still show quite a bit of the dark juvenile body feathers/
