Surprisingly high for date. I have no idea how many I actually saw today but in a rather short period of time, and not long after I arrived, I had northbound flyovers of 1, 1, 3, 1 over the pond and then over inlet to IBSP, these were certainly all different individuals so my minimum total was set at 6. After this I saw a handful of singles either northbound, southbound, or milling around (swallows were back a forth across inlet throughout visit, with large flocks growing and milling around on either side). Lastly, before I left, I bin scanned Tree Swallows for a few minutes as they slowly streamed south over inlet and had 3 single Barn Swallows, all swallows then flew back to IBSP. Dark backed swallows, forked tails, all had pale orangey washed underparts; doc photos
