*rare; first patch record! Jacob alerted me to a large group of sparrows by the tennis courts with maybe a few chipping sparrows. I arrived a few minutes later to a group of 6 or 7 spizella that quickly dispersed. I got on a few CHSP and then one bird with pale lores and a bright supercilium. I then lost the bird when I was interrupted by a call, but review of pics showed clay-colored. I was eventually able to relocate the bird still by the tennis courts, and got some great looks!
