A sparrow-sized songbird with bold yellow coloration on chest and eyebrow, long supercilium, gray cheeks, and long bill. The bright yellow coloration without chestnut shoulders and the presence of rictal flanges indicate that this is likely an immature first year female. It was seen perched in a tree near a seed feeder.
