The grass land is primarily consist of Saccharum spontaneum, which is a perennial tall grass belonging to the family Poaceae. The Tricolored Muniass are seen very active as they feed on the seeds of this grass. One Tricolored Munia is also seen perched on a cable. The Tricolored Munia is brilliantly colored, has prominent rusty upperparts and black head.
