While looking at the pond I saw a few yellowlegs than I saw a smaller bird. Only had binoculars with me. At first I thought it was a spotted sandpiper but thought I would try and get closer. Thankfully I did. Allowed pretty close views. Confirmed by Jim Rowoth and David Yee. I believe only the second one reported in Calaveras County. Pics.
