Crazy find by Jonathan Lautenbach, continuing from this morning. Seen this PM on mudflats at 43.0152939, -106.7004938. Male still in breeding plumage, a lovely rust color to underparts and face. Long and decurved bill unmistakable. Bird looked happy as a clam foraging on the mud flat. Briefly paused to nap, but otherwise was active the whole time we watched. See pics.
