(Benson recorded two sandpipers or phalaropes flying by at 9:12 am and a dozen more at 9:49 am, but Marantz tallied an estimated 25 birds during this period as two birds, four birds, and about 20 birds; ten birds shown in a photo taken by Marantz at 9:13 am all appear to represent peep, but the quality of the photo is insufficient to determine the species involved)
