Both were seen clearly in our scope. Both were sandy colored pudgy plovers about the same size as the nearby Semipalmated Plovers, which were clearly darker brown. Both had broken black bands around the neck, a black patch on the crown, orange and black-tipped bills. We were fortunate to see the two found by Jake. Thanks Jake! You got us out in this heat - and we ended up seeing the Red-necked Phalarope, too!
