*Uncommon in Utqiagvik generally; quite rare in context. Likely the same adult from yesterday, but instead of being on the Middle Sale Lagoon outflow (where one might be mildly expected), this bird was in the flooded tundra just N of Footprint Lake. One of the starkest places I’ve observed a RNGR, though I do know their breeding grounds in the northern Great Plains emulates this a bit. Still, this appears to be the first RNGR on the Utqiagvik tundra proper, at least in eBird.
