Singing bird seen from a distance of less than 10 feet. Right along Black Balsam Knob Rd. at 35.3187, -82.8749 . Large chickadee, with ragged back edge to black throat patch. Was slightly above me the whole time, so couldn’t see how much white was in the wings. Sang nearly non-stop - song consisted of 3 notes on just 2 pitches.
