観察結果の詳細

Nest in the purple martin house (not the purple martin gourds). The house has two levels and two sides. There are three compartments on each level on each side for a total of twelve. Each level on each side has a shared porch. The tree swallows occupied an end compartment on the lower level. The male spent much time on the railing in front of the compartment facing the nest. The upperside of the female was brown indicating a first year female. The nest with its feathers was visible.
