Tall robust-bodied sandpiper moving between two positions on rocks that were jutting out of the waves in the north-west corner of Portugal cove. Grey all over with dark thick straight bill and grey legs. Multiple short flights between two rock positions gave views of black and white underwing patterns. Photos taken.
