I heard a firecrest singing and stopped to look for it. A goldcrest was also singing in a nearby tree. The firecrest flew to the same tree as the goldcrest, and they spent some time following each other through the branches. After a while, this seemed to develop into a more serious tussle and they came fluttering down to the ground, locked together. They were rolling around on the ground together for perhaps 10-15 seconds before breaking apart and returning to their starting trees.

Fighting with a goldcrest. Not a behaviour I had witnessed (or heard of) before.
