This lone not rare any longer bird was observed this morning in a field opposite 9740 Ridge Road near McKinnon Road. Our initial view was distant but as it appeared to be walking toward us we just waited in the car to see where it was heading. Within five minutes it came right up to the car, fed a bit and boldly strutted across the gravelly dead-end of Ridge Road only twenty feet in front of our car to the large field on the other side of the road. Photo's (not cropped) were taken from inside the open side window and through the glass front windshield.
