*rare and high count; 1 individual reported yesterday | Blasted out of the south end (they were out of sight before lifting off) mixed with the CANG flock and settled on the west side of the res (still in the southern half), where they stayed into dusk. Small geese; nearly half the size of Canadas, with very small stubby bills, and black primaries with white bases (coverts). Distant views but small size (concistent among the group) in direct comparison to CANG and proportionally diminutive bills line up with these all being Ross's in my opinion.
