I relocated this locally rare gull in impoundment A-2 after a day and half absence and many people searching yesterday and today including myself. Winter adult. Small dark mantled gull with half of a black hood. Distinct white eye crescents. Relatively short rounded wings with white on primary tips. Black legs and black bill.
