NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 4. Bulk reel: 115 Weather: Fair, clear. The bird recorded was a male in a foraging flock (in understory) which seemed mainly or entirely comprised of this species and Myrmotherula schisticolor. There may have been more than one male D. [Thamnomanes] plumbeus in the group. I was whistling an imitation of the D. [T.] plumbeus song periodically during the whole recording period (but PAS imitation not recorded) and this may have had some influence on the bird (doubt it; cf. Cuts 1/3 and 8 note); but bird did not react noticeably and after it stopped singing it made no reply to further whistled imitations by me. Quality: 2 to 1 (last "75" "best" ("cleanest") first part is ~ OK. Level: +3. 139 tape. Copy on N-4.2 from SN. [Recordist did not indicate type of microphone used.] LNS: Subject changed from Dysithamnus plumbeus to D. leucostictus tucuyensis to reflect current taxonomy. -Matt Medler, 3 January 2011.
