Very worn and weather-beaten first year bird (though as worn as this bird is, can second year be ruled out?). Details and photos TBA A very white bird that may have been grounded by recent storms of the past two days. A bit larger than the nearby Glaucous-Winged and Western type gulls with flatter crown and sharply bi-colored bill, rather long and straight though not as heavy or deep at the gony's as GW/We types. Bill color was pink at basal 2/3 with black outer third, paling at tip. Iris beginning to show pale. Some very faint tan tones remain on breast, very little color or pattern overall. No pigment or markings noted in wings or tail, though I did not get great looks at these as bird did not fly and appeared exhausted. This bird is so white that I considered albinism or leucism, but overall size, shape and proportions seem to fit GlGu well.
