When walking south of boardwalk on Wetlands Trail saw a male hidden in a thickety bush full of dead leaves preening. It was not that far from me. I kept walking south and then turned around and saw two birds flying or chasing each other near the path and they flew into the woods and the one was the parula. I didn't see the other bird. Then the one started singing with the rising buzzy call. It was blue on the top and back of head, back is blue and the wings and tail. There was a greenish yellow or olive color in center of back. Under the bill down partway was yellow with a very dark (very dark rust brown) patch on throat with only a little rust on the sides. The breast under that was yellow and the lower breast was white. There were partial white eye-arcs.
