Visual ID. This is a song I have never heard before. Two renditions here, at :02 with a White-eyed Vireo somewhat interfering and much more clearly at :047. The song is closest to that of a Black-throated Gray Warbler, but it behaved like a Common Yellowthroat moving along very low in the brush along the road and eventually I saw a female Common Yellowthroat singing this song while I watched. Certainly not unheard of for a warbler to sing another species' song, but this struck me as very unusual and interesting. Any thoughts, I would be very interested! dbemont@rochester.rr.com
