One least bittern heard and briefly seen on the southwest corner of the first pond and working eastward along the southern edge. Call a deep guttural coo-coo-coo-cooo. It flew up briefly to move eastward and we got a short look at a sleek yellowish bittern that disappeared into the cattails. One member of the trip was able to capture a photo through the reeds.
