See embedded video. Continuing peep found by Charity Hagen. Seen precisely where earlier reports indicated, here: (33.8915523, -117.1017339). Occasionally, the peep flock would flush west to here: (33.8918303, -117.1115364), but would always return to that original pin. Incredibly close-range and prolonged views of this special bird, often a mere 10ft away, and seemingly 100% disinterested in my presence. Previously, my only experience with this species was the San Diego bird, seen at great distances in (often) poor lighting. This was the exact opposite of that observation. It was so thrilling to observe the similar-but-different nature of this pint-sized sandpiper. Appearance: similar in size to nearby Least Sandpipers. Overall grayish brown mottling on upperside, throat, upper breast, strongly contrasting with white underparts. It was relatively easy to pick out from Leasts (even with naked eye) due to its overall whiter + lighter coloring. Dark black-ish legs. Short, slightly downcurved bill, with fine tip. Primaries extend beyond the tail. When the bird "looked at you" straight on, the split superciliums were striking and obvious.
