Heard several American Crows calling throughout the course of the walk. I counted 7-10, I can't be sure how many there really were because I may have heard a few of the same individuals calling on different occasions and at different locations. One individual was spotted in a tree by the lower parking lot at the southern end of the park, carrying nesting material. I got another sighting of an individual in a tree by the upper parking lot, perched near a nest and making clicking vocalizations. I do not know whether or not this was the same individual that I saw with the nesting material by the lower parking lot (the first individual appeared to fly north and then south, the second sighting was to the east of the first sighting, though both sightings were still within a couple hundred feet of one another). A few more individuals were seen flying overhead as we walked along the eastern bank of Derby Pond as well, presumably the same individuals whose calls I was hearing.
